A: Our standard IAB catheters are available in sizes of 30cc, 35cc and 40cc. We also offer 25cc and 20cc IAB catheters on special request.

A: The average height of US male is 5’9”, so our IAB portfolio should cover the main market need however, we do not offer a 50cc IAB catheter.
A: Fiber optic catheters offer some advantages over fluid filled IAB catheters. According to literature, the reaction time of a fiber optic catheter is 50 milliseconds faster than fluid filled IAB catheters.

Fiber optic catheters require slightly less set up time. However, fiber optic catheters come at a significant premium cost, which ultimately requires the healthcare professionals to decide based on whether improved patient outcome can be achieved.

We do wish to point out that our patent protected V-Hub technology combined with our larger central lumen provides 20% better distal flow vs 8Fr catheters and has a larger Central lumen than other 7.5Fr IAB catheters.

Our Ultra 7Fr IAB catheter has been cleared by the FDA since 2009 and has shown superior reliability. Every Insightra Ultra 7Fr IAB catheter is tested through 50,000 inflation cycles before it is released for distribution.

A: The Insightra Ultra 7Fr IAB catheter is compatible with most standard IAB consoles on the market.

It comes with adapters for most Teleflex/Arrow and Maquet/Datascope pumps and is compatible with both brands, giving it an advantage over fiber optic catheters, which are not interchangeable with different pumps.

A: The Exosheath, a peel-away sheath introducer, provides stability and protection for the IAB catheter and the balloon.

IAB catheters are generally prone to kinking.

Insightra uniquely offers this protective tool, reducing kinking risk and facilitating easier maneuvering of the Insightra IAB catheter into the insertion site.
